7/21/2008 - Email form, payment button for booking, Call Me button
My email address on the Booking Info page was in a goofy format which I'm sure made it a huge pain to email me. I did that so that these web crawlers that harvest emails wouldn't start sending me spam. Last night I put up a little contact form so you can email me directly from the web page. Cool huh? Today, I received my first spam email on that email address, and I have no idea why.
While I was at it, I added a PayPal button that you can now use to reserve a booking and send me a deposit. You don't have to have a PayPal account to use it, you can use credit cards as well.
The forwarding service I use for my phone numbers, Grand Central, which is owned by Google, provides the code to put a call me button on my web site. You can click on that button and it will connect me to your phone free of charge. You don't even have to dial. Now, we'll see if any of that increases the amount of booking I get.
7/18/2008 - Dumped the Google Ads, what was I thinking?
They're obnoxious, they look cheesy, and nobody clicked.
5/28/2008 - Added Google Ads down the right side of the page
Just to see if they really do generate any clicks.
4/26/2008 - New Front Page Layout, New Musing
I didn't want the interesting parts of the site buried in the top menus there, so I reworked the front page to have four sections. You will now be able to see a listing of the News, What's New, Musings, and Rants section at a glance. Now I gotta think of something interesting to put there.
There's also a new musing in which I divulge deep thoughts about Mangoes. Check it out!
4/19/2008 - The First What's New
What's new? Pretty much the whole damn site. That picture on the front page right now is about six years old, but apart from that, I been in labor with this thing for the last month or so and finally the baby popped out. But I mustn't rest on laurels, oh no. I have loads more work to do. Stay tuned.
